Uganda is an agrarian country with over 75% of the population engaged in agriculture as a main source of livelihood (UBOS 2014). An important element for promoting sustainable development therefore is to have a suitable enabling environment for agri-business creation, survival and growth.
Shanoja Ecoplus is a business name trading under Shanoja Investments Limited, a company registered and incorporated in July 2018. Shanoja Ecoplus is a social business located in Mukono district Kyampisi Subcounty, Kasozi village. It is an institution designed to support community, local government and national innitiatives in realizing The Third Uganda National Development Plan (NDP III), 2020/21-2024/25 with the theme, “Sustainable Industrialization for Inclusive growth, employment and wealth creation”, noting that natural resource and climate change are central for the realization of sustainable industrialization and ultimately contributing the realization of more than half of the UN sustainable development goals.
